Waterfront Villa with a Log Cabin

This lakefront property is beyond words BEAUTIFUL!!! My entire family, of adults and grandkids, was saddened to leave the spacious property, after an entire week of vacationing here.We are extremely grateful to GOD, in helping us chose this lake house, because it was truly a blessing.Mahalo nui loa!!!

First when we arrived, the message we received did not have a code to get into the house. I called the owner, and no answer. After standing on the porch for a while, I received a message with the code. The house itself was very nice, which is why I did not give this a one star rating. It was clean, and being on the lake was super. The house was very hot, and the thermostat to turn the air down did not seem to work, because it never cooled off the house. There was no air in the log cabin, so it was extremely hot in there. The kitchen did not even have dish towels, and instead of a microwave, there was a steamer without directions on how to use it. The pots were burned and so using them was difficult, and not all of burners on the stove even worked. The kitchen was not stocked for people who plan on making dinners and eating there, which we had planned on doing. We could also only get one of the TVs to work.The most frustrating aspect however was that the code for the cabin stopped working on the night before we were supposed to leave, and our stuff was still inside. I again called the owner and no answer, so I sent a message. It was late at night so I wasn’t necessarily waiting for an answer right then…but I am in fact still waiting for a reply, 2 days later. Very poor communication from this host, and no clear instructions for anything. For the large amount of money we paid for this home, it should be better.

Beautiful place and property. Use of paddle boat and kayak was a bonus. FYI-bunk beds are in basement, a potential problem for younger children needing parents during the night. Owner was responsive to needs. We were a group of 13, aged 1-71, and space was perfect for gathering and eating. There were a few things needing repair that we let owner know about, shower faucet and loose bench that would have been nice to have fixed while there, but we were able to work around them when owner said they would be fixed after we left. We definitely would stay again!
